The Boeing 727 jetliner had an appearance like no other Boeing plane, with three rear-mounted engines, a T-tail, and low-mounted wings. It became an icon of aviation during its decades of service. This artifact is a clock made from a genuine starter from a 727 Pratt & Whitney JT8D engine. The aluminum and steel starter has been fitted with a clock face that has Arabic numerals and metal arms with rubber tips to protect furniture. Gears do not affect clock mechanism. Battery operated.
